The “Gucci Gang” rapper Lil Pump just signed a deal with 1017 Eskimo Records, but now he’s landed himself in some legal trouble after firing a gun inside his home.
TMZ reports that law enforcement was told by Pump’s manager that three men were jimmying the front door of his San Fernando Valley home around 4PM on Wednesday (Feb. 14th) and that the suspects fired a gun once through the door. The manager was not at the house, but was relaying info to cops after speaking to Pump.
When authorities responded, they found a bullet hole in the front door but no suspects on the scene. Police say the 17-year-old artist had been smoking marijuana and that they found inconsistencies in his intruder story.
Cops say the trajectory of the bullet proves it came from inside the house, so they returned hours later with a search warrant and found a handgun in the bushes below the balcony of Lil Pump’s apartment. The weapon was unloaded, but they found matching ammo in the apartment and arrested the rapper for discharging a weapon in an inhabited place.
Pump is currently being held in juvenile detention and his mother is under investigation for endangering a minor and having an unsecured gun at home.
